Omega relocated the mill to Bill in 1882, after which the development of many innovative watch assembly processes, training of professional technicians and testing of watch quality were all underway in the watchmaking industry. The new plant, which was designed by Sakamoto, uses recycled Swiss spruce lumber and incorporates an exquisite concept of indoor climate design and energy, making it an example of a green building. Omega utilizes the five-story space inside the factory to combine innovative technology with professional craftsmanship to make modern tabulation processes more complete.

Nick Hayek said: “The Omega factory relocated to this historic building in the center of Bill in 1882. Omega’s innovative craftsmanship and technology continue to lead the watchmaking industry in Switzerland and the world. In this new factory will continue to innovate watchmaking technology, practice Omega commitment to continuously improve the watch industry’s commitment. ”

An Shiwen also shared: “There is no doubt that the new Omega factory provides a truly creative work environment, but it is more important value is to improve work efficiency. Now we can focus on watch assembly and testing. The integrated workflow will make Omega watch manufacturing more efficient and fluid. ”

All of the watch’s production procedures will be carried out in the new factory building, including the T2 area (watch assembly), T3 area (assembly bracelet), T4 area (watch transport), and watch storage and logistics management. In addition, the new factory is also available for internal training of staff to continuously improve and perfect watchmaking technology.

The heart of the new plant lies in an automated warehouse occupying three floors. With more than 30,000 dispensing boxes in the fireproof warehouse, all the parts required for the brand watch are placed in the box, reminiscent of the highly tech-savvy images of science fiction movies. Most importantly, the new factory building also performs watch quality and technical process inspections, including certification by the Metz Observatory approved by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS). Every single Omega Zugensky Observatory table has undergone rigorous testing here to prove its superior accuracy, performance and anti-magnetic superior quality.

With the completion of the new factory, Omega will boldly innovate while inheriting the history and the classic. With its pioneering spirit and professional watchmaking focus and enthusiasm, Omega will lead the watchmaking industry into a new era.
